Outer Banks Photographer Gals Trip | Jockey's Ridge, North Carolina Photography |
"Water you doing the first week of August?" Brandilynn asked several other photographer gals and myself, "Shell we take a little retreat to the ocean?"
"Are you squidding me? Shore!" I exclaimed. Soon after, I waved goodbye to my husband, and was coasting down to OBX to just go with the flow for the next few days.
-Did you sea what I did there?
Sorry about that. I think I got most of the terrible puns out of my system for a while, but if we can no longer be friends, I understand. Moving on. ;-)
Brandilynn was kind enough to offer to invite 6 of us down to stay at her beach house for a few days, and though I was only able to stay for a short while, the company, the weather, and the BREAK was so, so needed. After a long day on the beach, we enjoyed cold drinks and hot burgers, then headed to Jockey's Ridge to salute the sunset. The sun wanted less to do with us than us with it, so it dipped below the horizon a bit sooner than we would have preferred, but it was still a blast. Jockey's Ridge has been one of my favorite spots on earth since I was little. It's vast, beautiful, and like, the best place ever to fly a kite. ;-) Here's a few of my favorites from the evening. Cheers, Ladies! Come visit me in Charleston next August!
Enjoy all the pretty that is Krysta, Allison, Chelsea, Brandilynn, and Jenny-
It had gotten REALLY dark at this point- the below image is an accurate depiction of what it really looked like.
So naturally, we saved our only group photo until it was crazy dark, but it still turned out *okay* just because the ladies around me are so gorgeous. Inside and out.
