Della & Andrew | Married! | Hendry House, Arlington VA | Northern VA Wedding Photographer |
The day had gone by in what seemed to be a blink of an eye. Andrew held each other close while loved ones danced and celebrated next to them, soaking in the melody of the last song and recounting a day rich with laughter, tears, and overwhelming joy.
It had been a HOT day, which I suppose is to be expected for late summer in VA, but I think I've been spoiled by the unusually mild summer we've had. Despite the heat, Della and Andrew were delightful down to the last second. Della is the outgoing goofball (I can relate on the goofball front at least), lighting up every room she walks into. Andrew, a bit more reserved but equally charming, is her perfect compliment. The complete adoration in the way he looks at her is what every girl dreams of. Their love is one for the books.
Fun. That's the lengthy, eloquent manner in which I'll describe their post-ceremony celebration. ;-) Seriously though, everyone was so very pleasant, kind, and definitely knew how to get down and PARTY. I can't tell you how great that makes my "job"! Also I have a total girl crush on Della- she's hilarious and was incredibly cheerful bride, with an equally awesome bridal party. I really loved that they all made it so apparent that they were there to love and support them, and it made for some really beautiful, fun bridal party shots! For real, big shout out to the bridal party, you guys were awesome. I had a big stupid smile plastered on my face the entire time I was going through these images and their entire gallery. So lovely, and oh-so fun.
Cheers to the newlyweds, Della & Andrew!!! Enjoy a few of my favorites and let me know what you think/wish them congratulations in the comments! :-)
Soooo I felt compelled to add this last little "bonus" in here...because I'm truly madly deeply (yeah, I just went all savage garden on ya) in love with these goofball photos of Della. Della, you're a ham and I love it so much. I have similar shots to these from my wedding day and they were some of my favorites. :-) My favorite of these, in particular, was the one where I had told Della and her bridesmaids "okay, everyone just have FUN and laugh/smile...and Della kept THIS face on...and I lost it for a minute into a fit of laughter. Honorable mentions to the shot with the wedding cake and the "walk ahead" shot. ;-)
