Jacqui & Jose | Engaged!
There's something about the way that Jose lights up when he looks at Jacqui that gave me goosebumps while I was shooting their engagement session. These two have a truly beautiful chemistry together. Everything from their romantic engagement story (he proposed to her at a scenic ocean overlook at El Morro in Puerto Rico...SWOON) to their little laughs with each other as we strolled through DC at sunrise confirm that these two are meant to be together forever. If I could describe them together in one word, it would be comfort. Their ease together, the way she relaxes into his arms, the huge grin from Jose as he kisses her forehead, and the joking conversations between them as they discuss whether or not schnauzers should have beards if they are girls (HAHA! I love these people). Their relationship reminds me of my own with my goofy husband (yeah that's right...HE's the goofy one ;-)), so of course I'm smitten with both of them.
We met at their home early Sunday morning, and made a quick drive over to the tidal basin as the sun began to peak over the horizon and warm the cool morning air. We strolled around hoping to find a quick few spots to take in the cherry blossoms before the tourist wave became too much, and let me just say...I'm glad we came early. It was, as expected, packed, but they were both in fantastic spirits and I think we got some LOVELY shots before we headed over for round two in Old Town Alexandria.
I am STOKED for their wedding in September, and look forward to a few double dates with this awesome couple before then! They're both so down to earth, funny, and overall just nice people. Cheers, and congratulations to you both!
Meet their cute little fur babies, Pepper and Chloe!
I did tell Jose to dip Jacqui, but so glad he did! What a cute candid moment of the two of them flirting. ;-)
Gosh, this one melted my heart. Jose, you're the cutest!
Love from a fairly tale...<3
A quick change of clothes, and we headed to old town Alexandria.
I thought these shots looked like something out of a romantic movie!
LOVED this one. :-)
Jacqui's ring was one of the most bright and sparkly I've ever seen!
Golly gee, y'all are adorable. <3 Cheers!
