Marielba & Aldo | Engaged!
I'm one of those people that feeds off the energy of those around me, and on Sunday afternoon, as we zipped around DC shooting their engagement photos, Marielba and Aldo's excitement for their upcoming wedding day was intoxicating. Marielba and Aldo are getting married on May 17th with a rooftop ceremony that overlooks the city skyline, DC and monuments included. To say that I'm looking forward to it is a vast understatement! Gosh, these two are so awesome individually, but their interactions together made my jaw drop. My favorite highlights of the afternoon were when they laughed together in each other's arms, and then transitioned into the sweetest romantic kiss, seemingly unaware of the camera. My second favorite part? Marielba's awesome maneuvering skills while we zipped around DC on the gorgeous afternoon with the windows down. I was seriously impressed by this girls sweet driving skills (and thankful because I had NO clue how to get around to the spots they had in mind, and cherry blossom traffic is no joke)!
These two can make you feel like you've been lifelong friends in an afternoon, and man, do they know how to rock a shoot! May 17th can't come soon enough, and I know you guys are going to have a GORGEOUS wedding to compliment your amazing personalities and love. Cheers!
Awww, this one was super cute!
There weren't TOO many cherry blossoms out yet, but we found a good one!
We stopped on the side of the road because the daffodils were uh-may-zing.
And then? Marielba took us HERE. A little (seriously really small) park near the department of the interior that was lined with blooming magnolia flowers. Such amazing colors!
We shot a few outside of their favorite restaurant!
<3 This bridge in Georgetown was so cool! Loved the light shining over them at sunset. Also, they WORKED it!
That ring was crazy-beautiful! Can't wait to showcase in their wedding photos!
We caught a bit of the last light of sunset on the water. Perfect way to end our afternoon.
Swoon. See you both on May 17th, Can't wait!
